Jiuhuashan Great Wish Cultural Park

Jiuhuashan Dayuan Cultural Park

The planned area of Dayuan Plaza is 1,200 acres and consists of important nodes such as Wutong Bridge, Hongyuan Hall, Lotus Pure Land, Xizhang Square, and Wanfang Mani. According to reports, the Dayuan Cultural Park has four main highlights: First, the world’s tallest open-air bronze statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The second is Hongyuan Hall, the largest Ksitigarbha culture exhibition center in China. The third is the world's classic white marble lotus throne - Lotus Pure Land, which is cut from 148 pieces of white marble. The fourth is the graceful and solemn group of bronze sculptures - Jiuhua Feitian.

Among the four highlights, Hongyuan Hall, as the most important large-scale central building, has won wide acclaim for its majestic momentum, rich collections, original design and imaginary light and shadow environment. This time, this article takes Hongyuan Hall as the core of the project and focuses on its lighting design.

Jiuhuashan Dayuan Cultural Park

Entering the central hall of Hongyuan Hall, a tall and kind white porcelain Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva comes into view. As the main part of Hongyuan Hall, the entire hall is dominated by a blue-purple light environment, highlighting the depth and mystery of the "earth-like secrets". The large area of sapphire blue ceiling is constructed with plain and simple light strips. It is hard to imagine that these blue ceiling splendors are actually provided by a color-adjustable light strip system installed in the light trough. Due to the large size of the statue, the projection distance of the lamp is relatively long, so an extremely narrow beam must be used, and the light distribution must be accurate to avoid glare. Therefore, after checking the illumination, we selected an extremely thin and light low-voltage downlight. The appearance of the lamp body is simple and clear, with only a 1.8mm thin flange design, and it is fixed by stainless steel elastic pieces, so it can be easily embedded into the ceiling with a thickness between 6mm and 20mm. The 40° anti-glare angle design effectively prevents glare and ensures visual comfort for tourists. At the same time, the downlight has a horizontal 350° rotation and locking function, and a vertical 35° rotation, and is equipped with 10° or 24° light adjustment. The beam angle is extremely narrow and can be accurately projected from different angles to any required part of the Buddha statue, thus illuminating the entire body of the Buddha statue and the lotus throne, making it emit a radiant luster, making the viewer feel more respectful. In addition to the excellent lighting effect, this downlight also has efficient heat transfer characteristics, which can effectively extend the service life of the light source and lamps, which also brings long-term operating cost savings to Hongyuan Hall.
